Who I am

I stumbled upon watercolor painting during the second year of the pandemic while working as an advanced practice nurse. Despite my desire to explore painting, the demands of my career always seemed to overshadow this aspiration. When the opportunity came, I dove in head first, transforming what was once merely a passing interest into a source of self-expression and rejuvenation.

Painting became my sanctuary, a form of meditation that allowed me to tap into my inner creativity and connect with the beauty of coastal South Carolina, where I am fortunate to call home. The tranquil landscapes, the motion of the ocean waves, and the vibrant hues of the sunsets inspire many of my creations.

Beyond the aesthetic appeal, painting has woven itself into the fabric of my daily life, offering moments of respite and reflection amidst the unpredictability of life. Through color and texture, it has become a means of not only capturing the physical beauty around me but also of exploring the depths of my own emotions and experiences.

In this journey, I am deeply grateful to my family, who have encouraged and celebrated every creation along the way. Their presence reminds me of the importance of cherishing moments of creativity and connection, even amid life's challenges.

As I continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of healthcare and creativity, I am reminded of the transformative power of art and the resilience of the human spirit. Each painting is not just a reflection of the world around me but also a testament to the journey of self-discovery and growth with every stroke of color.
